Projected Savings

The GreenStar Lite desktop PC saves about $5/month and $200 over the life of the computer. This translates into about 6000 less pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere every year, vs a traditional computer. The GS Lite Computer actually uses less electricity than a standard 60W light bulb.

Project Summary

We replaced our home computer and CRT monitor with an RoHS compliant, ENERGY STAR Approved GS Lite Computer and LCD monitor from GreenStar PCs. It saves us at least $5 each month on our energy bill and also came with a 2 ton carbon offset.

My Inspiration

Desired to reduce energy consumption and reduce the toxicity of our computer and electronics.

My Goals

Saving energy and helping recycle old computers.

The Process

All we did was ordered a GreenStar PC from the web page and they personally delivered it about 1 week later and set it up. GreenStar PCs also took our old computer and monitor and recycled in a safe and eco friendly way for FREE!

The Results

Many people are shocked to find that our computer actually uses less electricity than a light bulb. Our parents also bought a GreenStar PC and they love it too. We would strongly recommend that everyone who cares about the environment or saving energy gets a GreenStar PC because they are energy star approved, and RoHS certified.

My Tips

Visit http://www.greenstarpcs.com and you can buy a GreenStar PC online with their secure paypal checkout in less than 5 minutes. Its really easy and if you live in their area of coverage you can also have it delivered to your home and set up for no additional charge.

My Future Plans

Many!
